MAHESH BABU FOUNDATION
The Mahesh Babu Foundation established by actor and philanthropist Mr.Mahesh Babu, is an NGO based in Hyderabad, Telangana . Mr. Mahesh Babu has been an influential celebrity, actively supporting surgeries for children with heart ailments and is vocal about causes like education for the girl child and women empowerment.
The Foundation has been providing financial assistance to families with new born babies with heart ailments, helping poor children afford education, adopting and developing villages into smart villages.

Mahesh Babu is a popular Indian film actor, producer, and humanitarian. He is one of the most influential Indian celebrities, often referred to as ‘Superstar.’ He is the recipient of eight Nandi Awards, five Filmfare South Awards, three CineMAA Awards, three Santosham Film Awards, four SIIMA Awards, and one IIFA Utsavam Award.
Mr. Mahesh Babu is extremely fond of children and was inspired to start the foundation after the birth of his son Gautam, who was born prematurely and had to be treated in the NICU for several days. Mahesh Babu’s motivation to support hospitalization and treatment for children came from the fact that there are families who cannot afford expensive treatments. He has funded over 2000+ heart surgeries in collaboration with Andhra Hospitals and Rainbow Hospitals.
Namrata Shirodkar
Mrs. Namrata Shirodkar Ghattamaneni is a former Indian film actress, model, and winner of the Femina Miss India title in 1993. She is known for her work in Hindi cinema and has also appeared in Telugu language films, notably Vamshi, alongside Mahesh Babu. Namrata Shirodkar has been the driving force behind the Foundation and has been actively involved in donations and campaigns which cater to women’s welfare.
